The next course will be staged at the L.M.R.C.A. Railway Club (Silverdale F.C.), Wednesbury Road, New Mills, Walsall, WS1 4JG (adjoining the junction with Bescot Crescent). [Please note that this venue is NOT the Silverdale F.C. base in Walstead Road, Delves, Walsall (opposite the 'Tiger' pub)]. It will start with an induction evening on Friday 17th September 2010 and the course proper starts, a fortnight later, on Friday 1st October 2010, until Friday 12th November 2010. Each session will last from 7-15 p.m. until 9-30 p.m. At the end of the course, there will be theoretical and practical examinations. In addition, candidates will be informed of courses to obtain the "Safeguarding Children in Football" certificate, if not already held. Please register your interest on our form (see below) and we will contact you. The course fees are detailed on the "Frequently Asked Questions" page.
If you are interested, please register your interest on this site form and you will be contacted with confirmation. Your reply will only indicate your interest. It does NOT commit you to anything unless you confirm acceptance on the course.
The Team is offering "Safeguarding Children in Football" workshops and distance-learning sessions to enable young referees, and those older referees renewing their qualification, to complete the guide. A certificate from one of these workshops is compulsory for ALL referees. If you are an existing referee, who needs to obtain this certificate, or or a prospective referee who will need the certificate, in order to start refereeing, then please e-mail Bob or Stuart (see below). Similarly, if you need a Criminal Records Bureau check (also now compulsory for all referees and prospective referees, aged 18 or older) before being able to referee, then also e-mail the team. |
